Make a Choice

Making a choice is one of the most powerful and rewarding things you can do. Think about it: without choice you have no power. You made the conscious choice to come to this blog and right now you’re choosing to read this post. Nobody can force you to read this which gives you choice and ultimately power.

This is both scary but at the same time incredibly liberating. It puts the responsibility of our lives in our own hands. For me that has been the most valuable lesson I’ve ever learned and a concept that I’m constantly excited, frightened and taken aback by.

How can we use this?

Having the choice to do what we want in fact means that we can do whatever we want! Would you like to run a marathon? Become mister Olympic? Have 4000 friends on Facebook? Whatever it is, you make the choice to either have it that way, or another.

“The moment I decide it’s done, it’s already done and now we just have to wait for y’all to see it” Will Smith

Scary sh*t!

It most certainly is. Like I talk about in this post our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. Choice is power beyond measure, and you and every other person in this universe possess it.

Be happy about your choice

What you decide to do only has to make sense to you because at the end of the day you’re the one who has to live with the consequences. So make sure it’s something that excites you and moves you in a positive direction.

I often hear that I’m a slave to my exercise and diet regime and that I’m not enjoying life. This is a statement which makes me very sad, in the beginning I got angry at people who said it, now I’m saddened because they’re missing out on so much of life by being victims of circumstances and not making conscious choices.

“I’m living my life too, I’m doing exactly what I want to do. I found my passion, I’ve created my true calling in life, I’m living life on my terms” Kai Greene

Take control of your life, make choices and accept full responsibility for everything about your life, both positive and negative and trust me your life will improve and so will your spirit.

  1. So powerful to make a choice! I decided to run a marathon last year – went out there every other day on my routine, getting better, but certainly not enjoying it!!! My head kept saying; “this is soooo hard, I can´t do it, why am I doing this?”! Untill I made the choice to stop doubting and just run. Then I enjoyed every single minute and finished my marathon in a good time with lots of energy to enjoy while running it and celebrating afterwards:o)
By choosing, I stopped arguing with myself.
